The Simala Shrine or Simala Church is the popular church located in Sibonga, Cebu province in the Philippines. It is also called The Monastery of the Holy Eucharist. It was built in 1998 by the Marian Monks from Pampanga. It used to be just an ordinary church until incidents of miraculous events happened like shedding of tears of the Mother Mary’s image. It draws a lot of attention and paved the way for the church’s popularity. At present, thousands of devotees flocking everyday in the church.
You can watch the video here:
Why a lot of people are coming here?
Well, mostly the reason why people are coming here is that they are offering their prayers, devotions and petitions to the miraculous Virgin Mary hoping that their prayers like healing their illnesses will be answered. Most of the visitors are catholic but some non-catholics are also visiting the church because of its picturesque view.
The architectural structure of the church is really amazing that it draws a lot of attention to the visitors. You can compare it to the big castles in Europe. Visitors should not miss the chance to take pictures with the church on the background.
There are things to avoid when entering the shrine like smoking, drinking alcoholic drinks, shouting and making loud noises, wearing revealing clothes for ladies, wearing sando for boys and wearing footwear inside the prayer room.
The church has a mass scheduled everyday. There are colored candles for sale for visitors or devotees offering their prayers and petitions. They said that each color has a corresponding purpose.
We always bear in mind that this place is sacred so we always give and offer our respect to the believers and most specially to our beloved Virgin Mary.
God bless !
As the rate of motorcycle accidents happened in the Philippines rises, the government has strengthen its implementation of the law about wearing protective helmets for all motorcycle riders in the entire country.
The Republic Act 10054 (RA 10054), known as the Motorcycle Helmet Act of 2009, is the primary law mandating all motorcycle riders, including backriders to wear standard protective motorcycle helmets at all times while driving, whether long or short distance drives, in any type of road and highway.
You must take note that not just any kind of helmet may be used by the riders. The law stated that the helmets to be used by the riders are those that comply with the specifications issued by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) thus, only those helmets bearing the Import Commodity Clearance (ICC) mark is acceptable by the law.
Any person caught riding a motorcycle without the standard protective helmet in violation of RA 10054 shall be punished with the fine and the amount depends on how many times the riders offend.
This nationwide implementation of the said law draws different reactions from the people not just only in the Philippines but also in other countries. Others agreed but others are not. In fact, lots of motorcycle riders were already caught violating the law.
The World Health Organization (WHO) in the Philippines expressed support for the nationwide implementation of the Helmet Law in the Philippines (RA 10054) and reiterates the necessity of effective enforcement of road safety laws to save lives and prevent injuries from road accidents.
So what are your thoughts about this? How serious the Philippine government in implementing this law? How long will it last?

KABANATA I. ANG SULIRANIN AT KALIGIRAN NITO
d.) Saklaw at Limitasyon
>tinutukoy ang simula at hangganan ng pananaliksik

In these modern times, modern technology has made life easier. Using technology is now part of our lives and create a big impact on our communication to individuals and also to businesses. That’s why it’s an advantage if you have knowledge in the field of Information Technology or IT.
One of the in-deman jobs today is in the field of IT and it offers a very high salary. It is a necessity for companies around the world to have IT employees no matter how big or small their business is. That’s why a lot of students want to take up courses related to IT in college.
But there are lots of things to consider in taking up IT courses. Is it your passion or you will just do it because it is in-demand? Think it very well before you make a move or else you will end up like punishing yourself.
This is based on my experience being an IT student. It’s my passion for technology that made my decision to take up this course. I just finished 1st year and going to 2nd year this coming school year. Everything is doing well so far for me. But it’s not easy as I thought before.
I passed all the subjects and I am contented with my grades. All minor subjects are okay but the major one is really really hard. I’m talking about the programming subject.
We are using the Turbo C and C++ which is basic language for programming. It really extracts your brain analyzing those problems so that you can be able to make the code and run your program. We really had our hard times during hands-on exams. Individually, you will be given problems, make your code and run it. The worst thing is that you can’t be able to copy with your seatmate because you have different problems so you will have to do it on your own or you will fail.
Not all of my classmates were lucky to pass this subject in our 1st year. In fact six of them were failed. They cannot take the next programming subject in the curriculum because it’s a pre-requisite so they need to retake and pass it first.
It was just the beginning of the difficulties being an IT student. As you go in the higher years, the major subjects are getting harder and harder as what the higher students said.
So think it very well. Not just a couple of times but hundreds of times if you are capable and suitable in getting this course or not. It’s better if this is your passion because you will really love this course. I did not discourage everyone but I’m just reminding them based on my experience with my classmates. I hope this will help in your decision. God bless!
Blogging is not easy. It needs a lot of effort specially when you are just a newbie. And of course it consumes your time. It also needs your bright and unique ideas to make your blog more interesting.
Good thing about blogging is that it is one way of expressing and sharing everything that you want to share with others. There’s a variety of topics to be discussed and then publish it online so that others can read it.
I chose WordPress in my first blog because it is user-friendly and it’s free. It is suitable for newbie bloggers. You can also upgrade your plan to paid version if you want to. As of now, I chose this free plan as I am just starting.
